When we found out JAPBT also benefits Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors (JAH4WW) through various Professional Bull Riders (PBR) events, a strong and meaningful partnership was born.
In 2009, prior to embarking on a business venture with PBR, Chicago Bears’ five-time pro-bowl defensive end, Jared Allen had the opportunity to visit with troops in the Persian Gulf with the 43rd annual USO/NFL Tour. He came back humbled and ready to tackle a new venture. That same year, he launched JAH4WW to help provide financial assistance and support to injured United States military veterans by building handicap accessible homes to suit their individual needs one wounded warrior at a time.
By aligning with JAPBT’s initiative to give back, we’re beyond excited to extend our efforts in supporting the troops. Over the last two years alone, we’ve donated over 16,000 pounds of our delicious jumbo sunflower seeds to United States military troops in Afghanistan. After being flooded with heartfelt letters from military personnel, we decided to roll out a “Chips For The Troops” program online – putting our favorite industrial strength kettle chips in the hands of troops just in time for the holidays.
From JAPBT’s well-founded heritage, similar beliefs and shared commitment to stand behind troops, we couldn’t think of a better partner. With JAPBT donating a portion of its proceeds from various PBR events toward JAH4WW, we know a part of our sponsorship dollars will be put to good use – helping to make a difference in the lives of those who put theirs on the line.
